Class Details

Taught by Jennifer McGlinchey Sexton and Riley Bratzler A series of classes to empower artists and museum professionals to mount and frame their work/collection using museum quality materials and techniques. Session 1: Introduction to custom mat cutting Session 2: Beginner mounting techniques for works on paper Session 3: Framing and finishing techniques Bring your own artwork to frame as practice. Course fee includes materials to mat and frame one artwork approximately 11x 14 (framed size). Additional materials or sizes are available for purchase. This is a hands-on class. We will have one 30 minute break approximately half way through each 4 hour session. When you have completed the course, you can sign up for Open Framing Studio time, your opportunity to use the equipment and space to put your new skills to use. Pre-order mats and frames to have them ready for your scheduled time. Riley or Jennifer will be available if you have questions. Time can be booked weekly or ask us for more hours.

Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes to adjust for enrollment. If it is necessary to cancel a class, all registered participants will be informed within 48 hours of the start date given the opportunity for a refund or transfer to another class. A full refund can be granted if a student requests a cancellation 48 hours or more before the scheduled start of class.
